Frequestions Asked Questions

Buying a CO2 laser cutter for the first time can be a daunting process, often leaving you with numerous questions. Below, we've addressed some of the common questions we receive from our customers.

  • A dual-source laser machine works through the integration of both a CO2 and fibre laser source into a single system, providing you with the flexibility of engraving metal whilst still being able to laser cut, engrave and mark a range of non-metallic materials.

The entire process is controlled by computer software, allowing you to effortlessly adjust the setting and switch between the integrated fibre and CO2 power sources depending on the material you're looking to process.

The laser beam is then projected through a lens at the end of the laser tube, which is then reflected off a series of mirrors before being refined through a focal lens onto the surface of a material.

The laser head then moves along a programmed path that heats the material's surface until it reaches its evaporation point, creating a narrow and precise cut or engraving into the material.

  • Our metal engraving dual source machines currently start from around £14,000.00 and come with a 6-month laser tube warranty and a 2-year machine warranty, lifetime technical support, and options for installation and training.

Alternatively, check out our refurbished laser cutters for desktops and standalone systems, which also come with a 6-month laser tube warranty, a 1-year machine warranty, and lifetime technical support along with options for installation and training.

Additionally, you can purchase all new and second-hand laser cutters through our financing partner Kennet Equipment leasing.

  • Although operating a laser system may initially seem daunting, the process is relatively simple. Once your dual-source laser machine is installed and aligned, our technicians will provide you with 1:1 operational, software and maintenance training.

Additionally, we fully appreciate you aren't going to become an expert overnight, which is why we offer lifetime technical support with all our laser systems. Whether you have a query or need assistance, we're just a phone call, email, or message away. Most of our technical support is conveniently accessible via WhatsApp, which allows you to send images and videos and engage in video calls with an engineer.
